You Must Know

There is Judgement

Judgement sets your destiny. Judgement seat is a sign of holiness and righteousness of God’s sovereignty. Every believer of Jesus must know that there is judgement by God. Jesus Christ is the righteous judge. His kingdom is established on righteousness and holiness. Death and judgement goes side by side. Immediately followed by death the judgement is set. No reversal of judgement happens once death swallows up. None of our prayers, agreement of repentance, proxy prayers, death anniversary prayer or feeding the poor and needy on behalf of the dead will never ever contribute to the deceased. The book of the records of daily deeds are closed and set for the final judgement. When God closes the book, no one can open it.

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:

God The Supreme Judge

Triune God of the Bible is the Supreme Judge of the judges. Owner and creator of all laws pertaining to life and godliness. His laws always prevail over His creations. God of the Bible appoints Kings, rulers, Judges, magistrates over the people of the nations. That is why we need to pray for them even if they believe or not in God.

1 Timothy 2:1

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Jesus answered pilot at the hall of judgement;

John 19:11

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above...

Judgement begins here

Supreme Court sets the boundaries of judgement in each nations. All the laws and by-laws are set in proportion to the laws of nature. It is an inborn instinct to obey rules and regulations set by the government of each state.

Universal Law

The universe is governed by laws of nature. However, the laws of nature do apply not only to the earth, but also to the entire universe. And these laws never change. Anyone who meddle with the law, gets the opposite of the benefit which it can bring. Look at the saying ‘Speed Kills’. It is very true that if you overdrive the limits of speed, you will definitely endanger yourself. If you drink poison you get the result either death or partial loss of health. If you become a murderer you will be sentenced according to the severity of the law. If you live in immorality, then definitely your health will be affected and be unhealthy.

Nothing happens by chance or outside the Universal Laws. Every Action has a reaction or consequence "We reap what we sow".

Galatians 6:8

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Spiritual Judgement

Spiritual judgement has two phases. It is like life and death happens.

Judgement seat of Christ

Judgement of the born-again, happens at the judgement seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

No Condemnation

The Bible teach us that God forgives the born-again person’s sins of the past and present. He expects us to live a holy life pertaining to the Scripture.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Hebrews 10:17

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

There is no judgement of condemnation, but appraisal of the deeds and actions while we were on earth.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

First Resurrection

Those who are born-again and lived a life of godliness will be able to join in the first resurrection. Their mortal bodies will transform to immortality. Death shall be swallowed up in the first resurrection from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:54

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Rewards

However the resurrected saints at the first resurrection has to stand in front of Jesus to receive rewards. There he introduces each and every believer who lived a faithful life in love of the Saviour and confesses their name one by one to the Father among the angels.

Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

White throne Judgement

Those who have been left behind after the first resurrection are resurrected after 1000 plus years for their judgement. They are resurrected for shame and everlasting contempt.

Revelation 20:11-15

And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Choice

Dear, in which resurrection you will be? Ask yourself, will your name be in there, in the first resurrection? One life to live. Your regret after the first resurrection is over is like the stone which is gone out of the hand. Make it up each day and be ready for the final call of God.

Let us pray

Lord I commit my life to You. Help me to overcome the trials I face every day. Make my heart steady and hopeful in Your Word. Lord I repent of my sins small and great in Jesus name. I humble myself and receive the forgiveness of the blood of Jesus. I forgive others and bless them those who harmed me. I thank You Jesus for the assurance of salvation You give. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
